Entry
The entry was in great shape but we had a number of plans that we finally got started on about a year after we moved in. The first pics below show how the entry looked when we purchased and then the changes including the stained glass window I made for the fanlight high over the entry.
It is hard to capture this relatively small footprint but tall space in pictures. This is the staircase to the upper level with the familyroom stairs going down to the right.
The balcony walkway at the top of the stairs leads to the bedrooms.

First upgrade was to add picture rails from the first landing up to the second floor. This view is looking up from front entry.
Looking down from balcony after Pam filled picture rails with shots from Ireland.
As part of the new flooring in the guest room John replaced the balcony flooring.
Along with the new flooring went new track light heads.
We had new carpets installed after we finished the balcony floors.

A nice bonus is the opportunity to watch the projection of the window move up the wall as the sun sets. Here it is in the late afternoon over the entry to the guest bedroom.
