Beach:Piazza & walls (1998-2000)
On windy days (and there are many) we were always looking for a place to shelter yet stay outside. Finally we had a lull in other projects and could take on building a patio behind the cottage (in the lee of the steady winds off the lake) which became the piazza. In addition, the hillside along the driveway was too steep to mow and always overgrown so we planned to slowly dress up the drive with some walls and landscaping.
