Stomping Ground: Christmas 2020
With Covid 19 keeping us from Christmas at the beach for the first time in over 30 years we headed up to camp for two weeks. Jack had isolated carefully so we bubbled with him and had several dinners together at our air bnb. Stephen, Julia and Erin joined us for the week after Christmas. We were able to get in several hikes and have dinners at well separated tables in the dinning hall. While mostly vacation with lots of great hiking and some skiing for Steve’s family, I was also able to sneak in several short days doing electrical (hard to do with gloves so a few hours at a time was plenty).
Camp had 20+ inches of snow a few days before our arrival but had gotten the main roads and shop opened so I could access tools
First job was to trudge to new cabins and get all the electrical working

There was a bunch of logging taking place on the land around camp that will become state forest. Christmas weekend gave us a break in the harvesting to check out the giant equipment and logs

After getting everything working in the new cabins I started mapping the electrical in the shop. I drafted Jack for some of the high work using George's new life guard chair for scaffolding. Then moved on to get some new light fixtures in the lodge.
